Quran Food

Privacy

Quran Food has no accounts, forms or advertising. The only thing it measures is how the site is used, with Google Analytics, and you decide whether that is on.

What Google Analytics counts

When analytics is on, Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) records which pages are opened, which verse, “also named in” and nutrition source links are opened and on which food, the page you came from, your browser, device and screen, and an approximate location worked out by Google from your network address. Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_S07B8FVZ3X in your browser to recognise a returning browser; they hold a random identifier, not your name or contact details. The data goes to Google, which processes it for this site.

The site shows no advertisements and does not use Google’s advertising features: the advertising storage settings are switched off.

When it is on

In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland analytics is off until you allow it: a small banner asks once, and nothing is sent before you answer. Everywhere else it is on until you turn it off. A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal starts with analytics off.

The banner is shown by your browser’s time zone, because the site does not look up where you are. If you are in a covered place but your time zone says otherwise, Google still keeps analytics off until you allow it.

Your choice

Change it at any time with , also in the footer of every page. You can also block analytics in your browser, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab).

What the site keeps in your browser

Besides the cookies above, which are set only while analytics is on, the site saves your choice under qf-consent in your browser’s local storage. That value stays in your browser and is not sent anywhere. A second value, qf-internal, marks a browser that belongs to the site’s owner so that its visits are not counted.

Everything else

Fonts and images are served from this site, not from a third party. The links to quran.com and USDA FoodData Central open those sites, which have their own policies.
